Time to highlight one of our spectacular athletes! What makes up an Athlete of the Month? Not crushing the hardest every workout or lifting the most weight. This athlete exhibits consistency and a hard work mentality. Every time they come to the gym they have a good attitude and give their all. This person is also welcoming of others, helping make H Dub the best community there is. Each month we choose a different athlete and post some fun facts about them to help y’all get to know them better
Congrats goes to Ryan Hammond! Ryan knows one speed: 100. But not just in the gym, in life as well. He is a high achiever and a hard worker. If Ryan is not at H Dub shooting for the top of the leaderboard, you can find him somewhere cheering for the Vols or listening to Morgan Wallen while sporting the swaggiest of swag. What were your goals when you started training? Originally, as a supplement for wakeboarding competitively
How long have you been at H Dub and how did you get into it? Got into CrossFit in 2012, joined H Dub in 1/24. Had to come along and train with my wife. Trey and Vinit were bonuses
What is your favorite/least favorite thing we do in training? Favorite: snatches/least fave: Karen
How has H Dub positively affected you? The community makes it a space I want to come back to every day
What advice do you have for newcomers? Trust the process! Never skip squat day!
What is something no one at the gym knows about you? I won the spelling bee in 5th grade
